Notice Regarding Changes to Submission Eligibility for “Current Topic”

We hereby announce that revisions to the editorial regulations were proposed and approved at the 3rd Standing Editorial Committee Meeting (JJSE and JSER) and the 86th Board of Directors Meeting held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 (Reiwa 7).

Revised Content:
For “Current Topic” in both the JJSE and JSER, submissions from members were previously accepted.
This has been changed to accept submissions only from individuals approved upon recommendation by the Standing Editorial Committee.
Submissions for “Current Topic” from members will continue to be accepted until March 31, 2026.
We appreciate your understanding.

Accepted manuscripts will be published in the English issue (Vol. 1, No. 1) of our new journal, the Journal of Special Education Research, February 2013. Manuscripts from members as well as non-members of Japanese Association of Special Education (JASE) residing outside Japan are welcome. The Editorial Committee is now willing to receive manuscripts written entirely in English. Accepted manuscripts will be published in the next English issue (Vol. 49, No. 6) of the Journal, March 2012. Manuscripts intended for publication in that issue should be received by the Editorial Office before April 15, 2011 or by June 10, 2011 at the latest.
